Charcoal Pizza Bases

Switch to the dark side with this recipe for black activated charcoal pizza bases. A twist on your regular pizza base recipe that will sure to have all your friends intrigued.  

Charcoal Pizza Dough

 (makes 2)



  1. Preheat oven to 240C
  2. Whisk the water, yeast, sugar and salt in a bowl and stand in a warm place for 10mins or until frothy
  3. Place the flour into a large bowl. Add the yeast mixture and 1tbsp of oil and stir until a soft dough forms
  4. Turn onto a lighly floured surface and knead for 5 minutes or until smooth
  5. Place the dough into a large graced bowl, cover and stand in a warm place for 30 minutes or until doubled in size
  6. Divide dough in half and roll each portion out into 30cm diameter circles onto a lined baking tray
  7. Brush with remaining oil and top with your choice of ingredients
  8. Bake for 15 minute!
  9. Serve warm
